I know this blog was meant to be about daily situations where I see something, interesting, amusing or just plain weird.
Today, some pigeons were even getting in the mood for Valentines Day... getting frisky on the 'O' of the Morrisons sign.... Just saying...
A blog that may tickle your funny bones, touch your heart and feed your mind. Enjoy...

Can't sleep. Won't sleep.
For some or unknown reason recently I have not been sleeping at a normal times... I could easily stay wide-awake till 3am. But, lying in bed, you think, think about what's happened during your day, what will happen tomorrow, next week, possibly next year. Either way, you're thinking. The past hour, I have been thinking about the past.
I was thinking about those moments when someone cracks a one-liner and you're in a fit of hysterics for hours after. Come the following day you daren't think about what happened yesterday because you will burst into laughter on the bus to the town center, everyone looking at you like you should be locked up in some mental asylum. Anyway, I can honestly say I have had a few of those moments. I'm gonna share those with you, you probably won't find them even remotely funny but it will give you an insight to my sense of humour....
Eye-watering funny moment number 1. . . . .
Just to set the scene. I was on Southport beach on a what I can only describe it to be the most gustiest of days, with winds so strong you struggled to walk along in a straight line... Anyway, we thought it would be perfect to play football! With the whole beach pretty much to ourselves, what could possibly go wrong? My Dad kicked the beach-ball, it flew through the sky, and Simon managed to grasp hold of, he kicked the ball towards me. I tried to control but, failed. As I ran after the ball it seemed to be gaining more distance from me. It finally came to a stop, I stepped behind it and went to grab it. Suddenly a north-westerly wind blew the ball on it's travels again, as I took my eye off the ball, looking ahead, there was a women struggling to get up off the floor from her 'picnic' which was ridden with sand. Once again I was after the ball and it seemed to be attracted to this woman like some kind of magnetic force. With one last hard bounce off the floor, it flew into the sky and fell again, there was nothing I could do, you could just see it happening before you're eyes! The football clunked straight on top of her head which caused her to be lying flat on the floor, back where she started! The ball, continued to fly. As I ran past, out of breath I managed to quickly say, "I am soooo sorry but, that's my ball!" I didn't giver her a chance to reply. I still feel guilty to this day. All that space on the beach, only 4 people on that vast piece of land and my football STILL managed to give some innocent woman concussion. Why me?!
That's enough writing for one evening. More posts yet to come...

Handmade is always better :)
Well I am not normally the type of person to think about or really care about Valentines Day, even when I was in relationship last year, I avoided the day of celebrating 'love', so to speak. I just don't get why one day has to be dedicated to something which people in relationships do most days? There are more important days like birthdays and anniversaries which are more personal and special. Like many people say, it's just another scam for people to spend their money. I know I sound cynical, but that's just me.
However, this year is slightly different, I have decided to send my first ever Valentines card... Don't ask me why I had this impulse but, I did. So, I went to the shops between my lectures today browsing through the cards and gifts shops to find the most unique and interesting card. However, when I picked up cards, I had these underlining feelings of whether it would be the right one. Is it too cheesy? Comical? Serious? Too pink? Too red? Clichéd? Then I thought about what if another Valentine sent him the same card?! How embarrassing would that be.... (a very unlikely incidence but, one that would probably happen to me!)
So, my recent project involving the construction of paper has been inspiring me. I feel more confident in making more handmade designs, so who would make a card like mine, nobody. My idea processes straight from head to paper with the influence of some skill workshops I've been attending at University. So.... Watch this space, I am uploading the card later.
P.S - to those bloggers who do know my plans, keep it shtummm. Cheers.

They're rate meaty ones...
Coming back on the train from Meadowhall today, a middle aged man caught my attention, so I smiled, as you do. Then, he got off his seat and sat infront of me... He turned round and said these exact words....
"I went to Barnsley today, and got four pork chops, four big pork chops, they're rate meaty ones...."
How could I possibly answer that comment with nothing other than "Oh right, nice one.." followed by a nervous laugh. Then as we were all getting off the train, he told the person in front of him the exact same.
Nothing like being proud of his purchases. Bless.

Eye spy with my little eye....
I was travelling back on the train today, as you do, you glance at people, well it's only natural...
Everybody is in a world of there own, listening to their iPod, reading the Metro from top to bottom.
Then there are the people on there mobile phones, constantly... ringing up companies because they are going to be delayed and what not. But I noticed 5, yes, 5 people who received a text/email/BBM or whatever and they do that little smile as they are reading their message. Then they quickly glance round to see if anybody saw them smiling away to themselves...
Well, you can call it 6 people seen as I was recieved one that brightened up my morning. . .
")
The reason to why I started this blog....
I have started this blog for several reasons...
1. I have been blogging for a skills module for a uni project and I kinda like it... the fact you can share your ideas and it's surprising to how many people share the same opinions as you...
2. Whilst I am on the train, walking down the street and generally just living life, I notice things and wish I could just say to the person whoever is stood nearest to me, "Look, did you just see that?"
3. I need to broaden my creativity skills to enable me to become an open- minded and eclectic designer...
Now I have told you the reason why I have created this blog, you now fully understand why I am actually documenting weird and wonderful JPEG's, thoughts and quotes.
